Junior Golfer Online Program
PGA Sections across the country are participating in the opportunity to create awareness benefiting their foundations at the grassroots level.
What is the Junior Golfer Online Program?
It is an online fundraiser that generates proceeds for your PGA section's foundation.
It offers juniors the opportunity to earn a free, limited-edition personalized Sun Mountain Golf Bag (the junior’s name will be embroidered on the ball pocket along with the section logo).
The program typically lasts 18 days.
It’s simple and user-friendly because participants receive every element necessary to succeed including their custom-built fundraising page and series of communication about the section foundation.
Once the Junior reaches the goal, he/she will earn his/her free, personalized golf bag!
Net proceeds will support your local PGA Section foundation.

FAQ - Junior Golf Program
What is the Junior Golf Online Program?
PGA sections across the country have the opportunity to participate in this unique, crowdfunding program where junior golfers spread the word about their section’s foundation via social media, email and text. Each section’s 501 c(3) non-profit organization will receive proceeds to benefit its foundation.
Who can participate in the Junior Golf Online Program?
All junior golfers in a participating PGA section, regardless of skill level and age, can participate in the Junior Golfer Online Program.
How does it work?
Simply ask supporters through email, text, or social media to make an online donation to your custom fundraiser page (that we build for you). When your junior golfer raises the goal amount (between $300-$400 depending on the section), he/she will earn a limited-edition Sun Mountain golf bag. This golf bag will be a visual reminder to everyone that your child participated in this program to help others – it’s his/her bag of honor! In addition, a large portion of the proceeds go back to the affiliate PGA section in his/her name.
How many days do I have to reach the goal?
How do I get started once I’ve received the link to my junior golfer’s custom page?
It’s pretty simple – you ask friends and family to support the cause and share your junior golfer’s custom page on social media, email and text.
What information should I share about my fundraiser?
The whole purpose of this fundraiser is to raise awareness for your affiliate PGA section foundation or cause of choice. It is also important to share that you are working towards the goal to earn a Sun Mountain golf bag with your name and PGA section logo on it.
Once the goal is met, when will my junior receive his/her golf bag?
Once your junior hits or exceeds the goal, he/she will receive the limited-edition, Sun Mountain golf bag in approximately 4 weeks from the day his/her fundraiser closes.
What do my donors receive?
As a thank you, all supporters of your page will receive a one-year membership to VIP Bonus Rewards: an online savings portal where they can save hundreds on shopping, dining, and entertainment at local and national retailers.
What happens if my junior does not hit the goal?
If the goal is not met by the deadline, your junior will not receive the Sun Mountain golf bag. However, the proceeds will still go to your affiliate section’s foundation. However, if your junior is close to reaching his/her goal at the end of the fundraiser, contact us to request a little more time.
Should I be on the lookout for additional emails related to my fundraiser?
Yes, we will communicate with you on a regular basis throughout the 18 days of your fundraiser.
Are donations tax deductible?
Because of how the program administration is structured, donations from supporters are appreciated but are not tax deductible.
